The Astral Planes of Elsewhere

My own ambient / meditation project is getting its official streaming release this summer. Follow up album in the works.

Back in the early day of the pandemic, when the world shut down and everyone was hastily baking sourdough bread, I was busy baking theta waves into my own long form looping drone compositions. My goal was to create some space and a little inner tranquility for friends and others in an era of global uncertainty. The Astral Planes of Elsewhere was born from my this drive as well as my lifelong love of drone music, space, Indian instruments, and ambient synths.

I was pretty busy during the past two years with Heaven Man, rehearsing, writing, and recording our new record As One (which releases to the world this Friday, May 10th). Due to this, I put my own projects on the back burner for a bit. I’m happy to announce that a fresh new high resolution audio mix of The Astral Planes of Elsewhere: Volume 1 will be re-released on Bandcamp and also released across all streaming platforms for the first time this summer via my own Mesmerican Recordings label. The new mix/master will be done in the analog realm and be the definite release for this album.

This summer I will be working on the followup to Volume 1, expanding on the concept and the sound while still keeping things chill and meditative. More details to follow.
